Too concentrated on a Freudian approach, as soon as one apprehends the idea of the Family, my different series from this Contemporary family photographic album respond within the framework of a more global reflection marked above all by its etymological meaning “All the people living under the same roof”.
It is from this notion, which (very pragmatically!) for the majority of the series establishes their frameworks, a broader reflection on intimate/social spaces, strongly echoing Richard Sennett’s work “The fall of Public Man” (first published in 1974*)
The body and the clothing (Underwears 200, Idioties, 2003), Psychological pathologies (Ballet, 2002, Grimaces 2002-03), The “self”(Performances of the Ordinary, 2001), Role-playing games (Sysiphae 2004-2006), Mother and Daughter playing with clay, 2021),etc.
